I am sitting here in the A.M. thinking about what I want to tell you today and I come up with this simple idea.
How about me telling them how to get more patients with a simple postcard?
Pretty good idea if you ask me.
Because… if you send a letter you have to address it.
It costs money for the envelope.
It takes your C.A.’s time to address the envelopes.
They have to put stamps on the envelopes.
The stamps cost money.
You have to run to the post office and deliver them.
So postcards really are better than a letter at times.
But you have to know when that time is.
Doctors ask me all the time, “Which is better Dr. Carney, a postcard or a letter?”
And I just tell them, “Doc, that depends on what you’re trying to do.”
And it does.
A postcard does not have to be opened.
It’s like a billboard.
If the message and headline are interesting to the recipient, they’ll look at the postcard and read it.
I mean ask yourself.
When was the last time you got a postcard from some insurance company or an agent?
And when you got that postcard, did you read it, or did it LOOK and SMELL like junk mail.
Well one of the little secrets to postcards is sending them a personalized postcard that has handwriting on it.
That’s how I design my postcards.
They’re personal, they usually have a picture on them, and they’re fun.
People like to be entertained so if you want your postcards to be successful, make sure they’re fun to read, fun to look at, interactive, and they have an offer on them.
P.S. If you’re reading this, then you’re an elite doctor. Why am I saying that? Simple, because you are. If you’re just a passerby, don’t worry. I can help you market your business as well, but this is just one of the simple ways you can use postcards to marketing your business, and everyone who likes and wants to be successful should be using them on a monthly basis. Chiropractic marketing works. It’s just that you need to find the right avenues to make it happen.
