If you’re reading this, today you’re in for a treat.
I’m going to share a story with you about a Frog, and Old Frog that wanted to show the little frogs that she was as big as an Ox.
Why am I telling you this story?
As a doctor you’ll want to do everything you can to become a success. Just remember that there are limits and if you go beyond those limits, you’ll never expect what could happen in an instant.
With that said, here’s the story for you. I have to tell you though. This is not a story I made up. It’s not an original for me, like some of my stories and comments are. So read this at your own risk.
It’s one you may have heard before, read before, but then again, maybe not. Doesn’t matter at this point. I want you to be successful as a doctor, and I want you to learn how to market yourself, even if there is a monster sitting there trying to crush you as a chiropractor.
The name of the story is “Never Mix an Ox With Some Tiny Frogs.”
Once upon a time there was this Ox named Ben who came down to river’s edge to get a cool drink of the beautiful clear water.
As he licked the water, it was splashing all over, and when he moved around to avoid his own splashes, he accidentally stepped on a young Frog into the thick, gooey mud. He didn’t see it, and when he did step on the little Frog he was still unaware of what he’d done.
Around dinner time the old Mama Frog soon missed the little young frog and asked his brothers and sisters what had become of him.
“It was the great big monster,” said one of brothers, “who stepped on our little brother with one of his huge feet! He was really big so we all swam away as fast as we could!”
Then the old Mama Frog said, puffing herself up. “Was he as big as I am now?”
“Oh no, the monster was much bigger Mama!” they yelled out.
The Old Mama Frog puffed up still more.
“I’m blown up really big right now. He could not have been bigger than this,” she said.
But the little Frogs all shook their heads that the monster was much, much bigger.
So the old Mama Frog kept puffing herself out more and more until, all at once, she burst.
Moral of the story.
Do what you have to do to become successful. Do not however… UNDER any circumstances… attempt the impossible like the Old Mama Frog tried to do by trying to make herself as big as the Ox.
P.S. You never know what’s possible, and you should never, ever give up on your dreams and goals. Just remember the journey is where it’s at. Achieving your goals is not as much fun as you think it is. That’s why you want to set your goals high because you’ll have a ton of fun going for the gusto, even if you never reach your intended goals.
