Hey Doc, I know it’s been a while, but I’m trying to write something about Chiropractic, niches, making money etc since I am the Chiropractic Marketing Doctor and I want you to be happy, fruitful, and focused. With that said, I’m going to write at an extremely fast pace today so I can get this out to you if you’re looking on my website.
There are a lot of things I could write about, tell you about, instruct you on etc., but I have to ask you something before we start talking about marketing, chiropractic, postcards, ads, direct mail, emails, etc.
Do you really want to market yourself.
I ask that of anyone that wants to become a client, and a lot of times, if the potential client, balks, or hesitates, I dismiss them.
Because if they pause, or don’t know what they want as far as marketing, or what they’re going to do with that marketing, they may not be the right match for me.
I love helping people and I’d love to help you, but as bad as this may sound, the free stuff really isn’t that impressive. I used to deal with a man, and he virtually gives his stuff away. Why? I don’t know. My opinion is this. He says he’s trying to help chiropractors, but in my personal opinion, I think it’s his way of saying, “I don’t value what I’m selling.”
And you know what?
If that’s good for him, then I’m all about him doing that and being happy. I know some doctors are HAPPY making $100,000 a year. I get it. They only want to work 3 days a week, which is fine, but they don’t care about working hard to get there. If I can work like I am now, and this goes for you as well, and make $200,000, I’m good with that, but what if I put in four more hours a week and made an additional $100,000 a year. Would that be good for my chiropractic marketing?
Sure it would be and it’d be really good for my bottomline.
So here’s the deal Doc.
You can make a lot more money if you are focused on a couple of things.
1. your patients and making them more than satisfied
2. working on marketing NICHES
If you can sell a shoulder treatment for $50 bucks and you can get 5 new patients a week coming in for these types of treatments, your bottomline is going to explode. Seriously, it will.
So many doctors don’t think they deserve to make big money. They think something is wrong when they can make hundreds of thousands of dollars a year as a chiropractor, but that’s stinkin’ thinkin.
If you’re a chiropractor, you’re a business person, and to stay alive and healthy and not be stressed out, you need to make money. And you have something of value, so don’t feel bad because you’re a chiropractor. Be glad you are because you’ll probably live longer, have less stress, and if you listen to someone like me, you might be able to retire and live a happy life until you die.
Do your retirement wrong, and you’ll have to work – at your office – to survive.
Crazy huh, but the truth is the truth.
I’ll try and write more tomorrow, but I’m going to give you a little tip on how to handle patients. Simple, but true.
Treat your potential and your current patients the same way you’d like to be treated. I know that seems simple, but it’s also profound. I went in an Autozone today and the service was terrible. Thing is they sent me a form to fill out, telling them my experiences, and I did. If they’re smart, which they are probably not, they’ll get the information I sent them and call me, then give me something of value as a way of telling me that they care.
You should do the same.
When a new patient leaves, send them an email or a postcard asking them:
1. What was the first thing you noticed about my office? 2. What did you like the least about your experience today? 3. What did you like the most about me, my staff or my office?
Send them a self addressed stamped envelope so they can return this to you. You’re going to be surprised at what they tell you, but don’t feel bad. It’s what you need to know so you can change some things and make some things even better. That’s the big tip for today and something that you should always remember when you’re doing your marketing, and chiropractic marketing to your community.
